Location: Highway outside of Las Vegas, heading for Mason Point Date: May 17, 2011 Time 0700 hours
Las Vegas...there and back again. Sara Cafferey remembered passing through the town just last month, riding along with Jason McCallister. Since then she and Jason had become good friends but when the month of April turned in to the month of May...Sara knew that she was going to have to leave him. This happened every single year and every year it was harder and harder for her to resist the call of the deep...the call for her to return to Rapture.
She didn't know why she felt the yearning to return to the underwater city, especially during the month of May, but it was there; beckoning to her. On the 10th, Sara had left Jason during the night. Thankfully they had stopped at a used car lot so there was no shortage of vehicles to choose from; though most of them didn't run. Sara had chosen a black Italdesign Schigera, an extremely hard to find car, but the best thing about it was it was fast. Sara didn't know if Jason would follow along after her in his souped up muscle car; not putting it past him to try, but she guessed he may have had more important matters to attend to.
Currently Sara was over 200 miles outside of Las Vegas. The black Schigera was responding well to the gentle coaxing it was being given; the speed reminding Sara of a herd of horses wanting to break free.
In the passenger seat sat a young girl named Eleanor that Sara had just met last week. Apparently the young girl had seemed interested in the underwater city, so Sara had offered to take her.

Eleanor was sitting comfortably in the seat of the Italdesign Schigera, the vehicle being driven by one of the few survivors that Eleanor had met just a month ago in Los Angeles. This particular girl had sparked her interest when she heard her singing a rather strange sounding song, the song seemed to catch her attention, it was so innocent, yet so dark. She had become rather good friends with many people at the camp, however she was still dead set on somehow getting to Colorado to meet up with her father.
"So Sara, tell me more about Rapture. What all do you remember about it?" The idea of an underwater city made many thoughts and possibilities run through Eleanor's young mind, what if these survivors could some how make it to the city and use the city to start their life anew? It was always possible, and maybe, just maybe they could return the world to its normal self, or hold out until someone somewhere came to help the remaining survivors.

Sara tightened her grip on the steering wheel as images of Rapture began to pop in to her mind as Eleanor asked the question about Rapture. It was a simple enough question but one that evoked mostly a giant question mark in her mind.
"I don't remember much but I do know it once was a beautiful city, with vast hallways and tunnels that led all over. But...so much death... I remember angels, The Scary Ones and...Mr. B. He was my protector and my friend..." Sara paused; realizing she was rambling on and on.
The angels she was referring to were the dead bodies that held the ADAM that the Little Sister's used to gather. The Scary Ones were the Splicers. There were more than one variety of Splicers; from the Thuggish Splicers and Leadhead Splicers down to the Spider Splicers that can crawl on the ceiling, the Houdini Splicer that can teleport itself, the Nitro Splicer that chucks grenades and the Brute Splicer that likes to ram things and throw big, heavy things.
And Mr. B, aka Mr. Bubbles well...he is a Big Daddy, a human; genetically enhanced, that had his skin and organs grafted in to an enormous diving suit.
"I can remember images...like...pictures frozen in time. I don't know what they mean or who or what is in them I just...remember them." Sara replied, keeping her eyes focused on the road.

Eleanor listened carefully as Sara described what she could remember from her brief time in the underwater city, the idea of a city that was fully functional underwater seemed almost like a fantasy thing. "Mister Bubbles...." she spoke with a mix of an English and Irish accent. She couldn't help but bonder one what the man named Mister Bubbles looked like, maybe he was just a simple man who watched over Sara, or maybe it was what she called her real father. She wasn't quite sure of the location of the underwater city, she figured it would be in the middle of an ocean since it was underwater, but how would they find one entrance to a city in a ocean so vast?
Eleanor sighed and leaned back in the chair, her father's bow resting at a slant in the car, the bow itself stood a full six feet when not strung up and ready to shoot, but even when it was strung and ready to shoot it still had a few inches on Eleanor. She fiddled with the beaver fur that was attached to her bow, Silencers to make the sound of the string almost non-existant. The bow was truly a piece of art, this made her think about her father. She had to find him, and soon. She did not want to find him turned into one of them. She was adapting rather well to the new world of zombies, using her hunting skills to outsmart the zombies, sleeping in trees at night to avoid being trapped in a hotel room or in a house, but she was still missing that sense of security. She looked out of the window at the nearly abandoned city of what was once humans. "What could have caused all of this?" She mumbled to herself as she gripped onto the handle of her bow.

"I don't know. It seemed to happen overnight...all over the world." Sara replied, knowing that Eleanor was referring to the Outbreak. It was a sad sight; abandoned buildings; people that once were humans having now turned in to mindless things...
Sighing, Sara glanced at Eleanor. "Best get some sleep. We won't even be at the ocean until late tomorrow evening." She said.
It was true, they were going to have to drive down to the border of Mexico which was where Mason Point was located, and from there they would have to find a boat that would take them the rest of the way.

Eleanor sighed as she looked over towards Sara, "There was a song that one my friend's mother used to sing, it was the strangest tune but it was a very catchy one at that." She looked out of the window again as a a scene of her and the said mother were singing the song in harmony. "In the House of Upside Down, Cellar's top floor, Attic's ground. In the House of Upside Down, Laughing cries, and smiles frown. In the House of Upside Down, Found is lost....and Lost, is Found." She sang in a quiet tone of a voice, she then yawned and closed her eyes, deciding that it was a rather good idea to take a nap since it was going to take that long to reach their destination. She wondered, if any of the others would come after them both, or if they would just abandon them for dead.

Sara turned on the radio but kept the volume low so Eleanor could sleep. It was one of the few radio stations that still played music; granted it was the same playlist over and over and over, but still the songs were good.
However all Sara could think about was Eleanor's song. It sounded so familiar...as if from a dream. Those words brought up another song that she remembered, "Mr. Bubbles, Mr. Bubbles are you there? Are you there? Come and give me lollies. Come and bring me toffees. Teddy Bears. Teddy Bears."
How Sara missed her Mr. Bubbles. He had been killed by a Scary One, yet this Scary One had in turn saved her; that moment Sara remembered with clarity. Bright shiny walls with red, flowing curtains...a young man standing before her and off to the side...the dead body of her Big Daddy. Slowly she had been picked up; the man's dirt covered hands, though calloused were strong and gentle as he held her in front of him. A hand was raised and in the middle of the hand; a light that seemed to cover all of Sara's being and then...the light was gone and the fallen state of the city could be seen and...something was different.
Sara remembered feeling free of...something. She remembered thanking the man before she climbed up in to an air vent and then...nothing for what seemed like hours.
Shaking her head Sara concentrated on her driving; they would be there soon enough.
-------- Date: May 18, 2011 Time: 10:41 PM
They had arrived at Mason Point. The sun had already gone down but thankfully there were no zombies around the Point...at least for the time being. "This is it. We need to find a boat that works and get out on the water as quickly as possible." Sara said to Eleanor.

It didn't take Eleanor very long for her to drift into a sleep, she normally fell asleep by either listening to soft soothing music, or by telling herself a story in her head. The latter was not needed since the music was soft enough that she could fall asleep, and boy was she glad to catch some shut eye. Date: May 18, 2011 Time: 10:41 PM Eleanor had awaken around 9:56, She looked outside of the windows worriedly knowing that the zombies were more active at night than they were in the day. Eleanor gripped at her bow, and carefully she managed to string the bow up inside of the car. The bow's size was shrunk due to this, but not by very much. She looked around warily, always worried about being caught in the night with the zombie filled world around them. "Right, If you want, I can cover for you while you check to find a boat, If I see a zombie I'll shoot it between its eyes. I'm quite the marksman, ask Cira." She chuckled mildly remembering when she first stumbled upon Cira, Kyle and Zak. She remembered that she had shot right over Cira's head and hit a zombie square between the eyes. Eleanor reached for her backpack that she always brought, sticking out of the smaller middle pocket was approximately 16 arrows, each arrow decorated with two black feathers and one yellow feather. Eleanor pulled out of the arrows and exposed the broad head arrow tip. She couldn't attach the arrow to the string inside the car, it would be too much of a hassle to get it out of the car, instead she would put it on the shelf the instant she got outside of the car. Generally she was nervous, just like a teenager about to go to prom. She took several deep breathes and waited for Sara's response.

Sara nodded her head in agreement. "Fair enough. When I find one I'll signal you with a flare. All boats have a flare gun." Sara responded.
She then looked out the windshield, making sure there was no one around before glancing back at Eleanor. "Signal me when you are in position." She continued.
Her hand rested on the door panel of the car. Sara hated to leave it behind; having serious doubts it would be there when and if they returned but it was something that had to be done.

Eleanor glanced over at Sara and nodded at her, and very carefully and as quietly as possible, Eleanor opened the door and swiftly placed both feet on the dirt outside of the car, bringing the bow out of it first and then the rest of her body. She immediately connected the arrow to the string and put it on her shelf, she raised the bow up and pulled the string back to her anchor point just to be safe. She scanned around for a few moments and then turned to close the door as quietly as she possibly could. The next thing she did was she circled around the backside of the car and to the driver's side, her eyes constantly on the scan for incoming zombies, they were out there, no mistake of it.
When Eleanor believed the cost was clear, she lowered her bow and slowly adjusted the string to its normal position, she gripped the arrow and bow in one of her hands and made a gesture towards Sara to exit the vehicle, she then moved her hand back to her bow and resumed a defensive stance, her head on swivel as she checked anywhere and everywhere that they could possibly come from.

That was the signal; it was time to go. Shutting off the engine, Sara opened the door of the car; thumbing the inner lock. Stepping out she slammed the door shut and pocketed the key before high tailing it to the dock.
There were several boats there but only two with engines. Going over to the first one, Sara checked it over and quickly discovered that there was no fuel in the fuel tank. Grumbling, she high tailed it over to the other boat, praying that there was fuel in it.
From somewhere near the road Sara heard a low moan; the totally recognizable moan of a zombie. ~Hurry...hurry!~ She thought to herself. Practically ripped the gas cap off, Sara gazed in to the murky blackness of the tank, seeing some liquid glistening in the moonlight. A quick whiff of the vapor told her it was gasoline.
Smiling, Sara jumped in and fired up the engine; it being difficult to start because it hadn't been run in awhile, but once it was going it kept on running. Untying the boat from the dock, Sara reached under her seat and felt around for the flare gun for a few moments before locking on to it.
Opening the top of the gun, Sara felt around and felt the single flare that was already in the chamber. Readying the gun, she pointed the gun towards the dark sky and fired; the flare rising up in the night sky. ~Better hurry Eleanor. That shots gonna bring every zombie from miles around.~ Sara thought to herself as she rested a hand on the throttle.

Eleanor had made sure to keep her head on swivel as Sara got out of the car and rushed over to the docks. She looked around left, right, in front and behind, finding no zombies with her sight, however she did hear that familiar moaning sound. Quickly she turned on a dime and faced the direction that she heard the moan coming from, she checked to see that the distance of the zombie was too far for her to get a proper shot in the night. It was just seconds after she saw the zombie that Sara had fired the flare gun. Eleanor caught sight of where Sara's boat was positioned and she then looked back to the zombie who was quickly picking up his pace towards her. Eleanor had to make a tough decision, that decision, was running.
Without making any kinds of screams at all, Eleanor lowered her bow and immediately ran as fast as her legs could carry her for the boat that Sara had found working. When she reached the boat she did not hesitate on jumping in. When she landed safely inside of the boat, she turned around to one of the zombies who had tried to follow them, she removed the arrow which was already attached to the string and held it firmly in her hands, the broad head gleaming in the moonlight. "Go Sara!"

Jade had been in the area for some time, and with patience, had intercepted the vehicle Sara had used on foot, ducking behind rows of cars along the roads via quick feet, as well as occasionally climbing into trees. If there were any zombies stalking them, they were far enough away Jade was not concerned with them.
Once she finally got closer to the beach, barely able to see the car they'd used any more, Jade moved quietly from behind a parked Chevy truck, the doors open from being ditched quite some time ago. Stepping lightly into the sand, she moved like a modern ninja, walking mostly on the balls of her feet as he cautiously approached the boating dock.
Jade debated about getting a running start for the boat. It was technically their loss if she got to the boat first, but she didn't want to come off as selfish and careless. It was big enough for at least three if not four people with a light load. She just hoped they would accept her. She had been walking alone for a goddamn four months, with barely any interaction save for the need to defend herself. Hell, she'd even 'almost' been raped by some men that were clearly not zombies, and that had ruined her day even more. Luckily though, those men were dead before they even had a chance to grope her properly.
The woman only carried a light pack which she liked to call her 'lucky pack', as well as a Machete sheathed at her side, Kunai blades in her jacket, and a Benelli m4 rifle strapped to her backpack. She hoped whoever was following wasn't some creepy guy like the ones she'd encountered since her travel from Alaska, let alone some creepy lady. Cold steel gray eyes watched the two women, and they widened slightly as she heard anther vehicle quietly roll towards the area, stopping behind a few less than decent looking vehicles a bit aways from the beach to her right. Jade just hoped she herself didn't come off as creepy.
Her feet didn't make much sound, at least, compared to the sound the Mustang made.
"You got company." Jade spoke finally as she was barely a couple steps away from them.
Jade wore mostly leather, black leather with a white leather tank top, black gloves. She looked notably pale, even in darkness, but she was certainly no vampire. If she carried any other weapons, they were kept out of view or in the backpack.

Eleanor was in and it was time to go. Sara was milliseconds from punching it when another female voice sounded; no more than several steps away! Head rising, Sara looked out in to the darkness, trying to see who was out there.
Her first instinct was to get the hell out of there but what if it was a human in need of help or a quick get away from the immediate area? "Who are you?! Show yourself!" Sara demanded of the voice.

Jade promptly stepped right onto the dock. "Right here," Jade replied, realizing that the woman might have trouble hearing from the flare fired earlier. She noticed there was another smaller girl in the boat, and they were clearly going off shore for safety's sake, to...where, exactly?
She heard much louder foot steps moving through the sand behind her, but at least she knew who they belonged to. She glanced towards a man in his early 30's as he approached, hoping he wouldn't cause trouble. But she was surprised to hear him shout the woman's name.
"Sara? That you?!"
